If I still have time to do so, I will continue recording "Glass Cicada" soon. But I want to spend a bit of time improving my recording sound. I want this to sound like an actual record, not just a demo.

So far, there haven't been any "sessions" for the record. I've made a brief set of notes, written lyrics for "Sudbury", and set aside some musical ideas for use with the concept. I know the direction I want to take with it, so I definitely should get cracking on it.

I expect that if I cannot find a decent job by the end of the month, I will probably crack down and record a few tracks per week. Right now, I am going to continue to plan and write some basic song ideas. I need to find my notes again and figure out a game plan for a structure.

And due to some issues between the original vocalist and I, Borealia might need to enlist different vocal talent for "Glass Cicada", or I will scrap what I have so far and make it an instrumental record. That will mean that "Sudbury" will not be included on the record, if that's the case, and will likely end up resigned to the status of "single" or "bonus track". It might be cool, though, to try for a completely instrumental album. Trust me, you do not want to hear me sing this record. I MAY, however, record a vocal track myself. It'll be heavily effected, though. Maybe some kind of "telephone vocal" sound?

Either way, this month is looking like a fairly busy month for Borealia, and I'm hoping to have the recording and mixing finished by September.
